A thrilling theatrical murder mystery.

When famous actor Martin Powell is murdered in his own home, the finger is pointed at everyone in the house, including his soon to be ex-wife and a journalist. Be part of the initial investigation when the body is found and the police arrive, and watch the run-up to the killing. Will you be able to figure out who the murderer is before they act? And will the police catch the murderer?

About Simon Brett
Born on 28 October 1945, Simon Brett is an author of detective fiction, a playwright and a writer for TV and radio. On graduating from Oxford University with a first in English he joined the BBC as a trainee. He went on to produce a number of BBC productions including The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and Just a Minute, and wrote several sitcoms including After Henry.
As an author he is known for writing five very successful series of detective novels (Charles Paris, Mrs Pargeter, Fethering, Blotto & Twinks, and Decluttering), as well as several anthologies, humorous books and standalone novels.
As a playwright he has written ten plays to date. His first, Murder in Play, was written in 1994, and his most recent was Murder with Ghosts (2015). Silhouette, his third play, was written in 1998, and was staged by the Progressive Players in 1999.
In 2000 Simon Brett was appointed president of the Detection Club (formed in 1930 by, among others, Agatha Christie and Dorothy L Sayers), and held the post until 2015. In the 2016 New Year’s Honours List he was awarded the OBE for services to literature.
Simon Brett is married with three children and lives in Arundel, West Sussex.
